Our aim is to provide a well- rounded educational program that is suitable for the diverse intellectual, social, emotional and physical needs of all our students. To provide a holistic and inclusive learning environment, the school has adapted an inclusive education set up where equal opportunities are given to learners in a least restrictive and non-segregatory environment.
Inclusive education is about ensuring access to quality education for all students by effectively
meeting their diverse needs in a way that is responsive, accepting, respectful and supportive. We believe that every student is entitled to a fully inclusive education and every teacher is a teacher of every student including those with special educational needs.
Objectives
To identify children with special educational needs and offer guidance and support.
To ensure early identification of students with additional educational needs, and to monitor their progress.
To ensure access to a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum for all students.
To raise levels of achievement for all students with additional educational needs.
To ensure that all students have equality of opportunity within the full range of the Academy’s curriculum.
To overcome potential barriers to learning and assessment for individuals and groups of students.
To conduct sessions with parents after identification to discuss their child’s issues and implement strategies to enhance the learning experiences.
To provide appropriate services to the students with disabilities and special gifts and talents, that meet their needs and enhance their abilities.
